Maritsa is an experienced professional in Design Communication with a passion for creating impactful connections through design. She completed her BA Hons in Design Communication twenty years ago. Early in her career, an entrepreneurial spirit led to the launch of her first company, even before tossing the graduation cap. Since then, her journey has been a colourful canvas of diverse projects and experiences. In the course of her career, she has immersed herself in a myriad of projects ranging from cozy startups to corporate giants and public institutions.
Over the past ten years she has been dedicating her design prowess in crafting graphics that unravel the complexities of scientific concepts and to nurturing and empowering startups. She thrives on translating their visions into captivating visual narratives, forging brands that not only resonate but also inspire.
Academically, Sergio has explored fields in Science, Humanities and Law. He holds a Degree and an MSc in Engineering and Nanotechnology, a Postgraduate Degree in Education and a PhD in Physics. He also holds an LLM in Human Rights Law and secured the Solicitors Qualifying Exam for England and Wales in 2023.
Sergio’s technical expertise combines different fields from electronics to IoT, statistics, data science and machine learning. Scientifically, he is the co-author of over 70 research papers focusing on physical principles such as energy conservation, oscillation theory, dynamics, simulations, nanotechnology and materials science.

Murat set the engineering world on its toes. With a stellar kickoff at the Aachen University of Applied Sciences, Germany, he didn’t just study Mechanical Engineering; he owned it, focusing on Aircraft Engineering and snagging a Diplom degree with a grade that screamed talent (1.6, ECTS-Grade: B – very good). But why stop there? Murat’s hunger for knowledge saw him conquering Biomedical Engineering next, where he outdid himself with an MSc, scoring a grade of 1.5 (ECTS-Grade: A – excellent).
His career trajectory took off at TOENVICE, where he didn’t just apply his theoretical knowledge; he revolutionized practical industry applications, setting a new standard for innovation and design. As Project Manager and Design Engineer at AWAS FEE GmbH, Murat wasn’t just part of the team; he was the force behind the development and patenting of a gearless torque motor that’s nothing short of revolutionary. But Murat’s not one to rest on his laurels. At the University of Cambridge, he’s currently diving deep into a part-time PhD in Civil Engineering with the Geotechnical and Environmental Research Group. Here, he’s aligning his doctoral research with his passion for Biomechanics, Orthopaedics, Soil Mechanics, and Robotic Systems. It’s not just about getting another degree; it’s about pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in engineering.
Murat’s journey is a vivid testament to his versatility, expertise, and relentless drive for innovation.
